For many, the most important and challenging work produced by the co-founder of the Theosophical Society, Helena P. Blavatsky, is her book The Secret Doctrine. In its pages, one finds a sometimes poetic, other times philosophic, and quite often obscure description of the origin and evolution of the cosmos and humankind. Painting the Cosmos offers a novel approach to connect us with the highly metaphysical concepts found in The Secret Doctrine.  By skillfully using the technique of abstract painting, Carolyn Wayland, presents a series of paintings illustrating the main topics dealt with in Blavatsky’s work, from the ultimate absolute reality to the manifested cosmos.
