The Treatise and Three Commentaries by Mabel Collins
Our first publication for the Classic Theosophy Series focuses on the most famous book written by Mabel Collins–Light on the Path. This work was published in 1888 and since then it has become a classic of spirituality, held in high regard by generations of Theosophists. It contains instructions for those who are leading the way of the disciple, and throws light on the qualities needed to tread this path.
Mabel Collins did not claim authorship for this text, which comes from ancient sources. Following the Eastern esoteric method of teaching, the book is written in the form of short aphorisms with a few added notes. In an attempt to unravel the truths hidden in this small treatise, the writer wrote three commentaries. Light on the Path Collection brings all this material together for the first time.
The book includes:
To her Personal Pupils (1890-91)
In our next book for this Series we are bringing back into print the oral esoteric teachings that H. P. Blavatsky gave to the innermost group of the early Theosophical Society.
The material in this work comes from the notebook of Alice L. Cleather, a member of the Inner Group of the Esoteric Section. In the weekly meetings held privately, Blavatsky answered questions about her Esoteric Instructions, giving a profound insight on the inner structure of the cosmos and human beings.
The subjects discussed include:
. . . and much more.
The book also presents Esoteric Instructions IV, V, and VI and the Diagram of Meditation.
